DPM - Volume Shadow Copy Service Operation Error (0x800423f4)

Issue:
The System State backup of DPM server fails with following error message:

Volume Shadow Copy Service Operation Error (0x800423f4)

Workaround/Solution:
The workaround for this issue is to exclude the DPM writer ID by modifying the registry.

• Open Registry editor and create a new Multi-String Value called DisabledWriters under the following registry key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SPP
• Enter {0074a271-4f24-43e0-9ec7-28a44189cb80} as the Value
• Stop Wbengine service (net stop wbengine)
