AADSync to AADConnect Upgrade and Enterprise Admins group Error

The AADSync to AADCOnnect upgrade process is well documented in the https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/active-directory-aadconnect-dirsync-upgrade-get-started/ article.

However, you may receive an error message “user is not part of the Enterprise Admins group” during the upgrade process, if you select the Express install option.  It seems like there is an issue using Express option during the upgrade process.  The workaround for this issue is to use Customize option and complete the upgrade/installation process.

I need a help from you. While setting permissions in a folder my colleague erroneously deleted all default permission . Now it displays unable to set owner. While trying to take ownership through GUI as well as using takeown ... it denies the access. please help us.

Which folder are you talking about here? Is it related to Azure or something else? Anyway, please provide more information.

Thanks for highlighting this issue—it's definitely something admins should watch out for when upgrading from AADSync to AADConnect. That "user is not part of the Enterprise Admins group" error can be frustrating, especially when the Express option seems like the quicker route. I’ve run into similar hiccups before, and going with the Customize option really is the safer bet.
