Here is procedure which you can use to verify that adprep /domainprep completed successfully in the Active Directory domain.
Option #1 - Using ADSIEdit – You can verify the revision value using the ADSI Edit.
- If the revision version is 5, the domain has been prepared for Windows 2008 R2
- If the revision version is 3, the domain has been prepared for Windows 2008.
Option #2 - Using DSQUERY command – Run the following DSQUERY command to get the revision value:
dsquery * CN=ActiveDirectoryUpdate,CN=DomainUpdates,CN=System,DC=infralab,DC=local -scope base -attr revision
